LGBT reference costs 'Onward' animation ban in ME

Public screenings for 'Onward' are not allowed in multiple Middle East country due to controversial references.

Public screenings for Disney/Pixar animation 'Onward' have been banned in multiple Middle East country over indecent references. 

The flick depicts an LGBT relationship frown upon in several ME film markets catering for predominantly Muslim audiences. 

Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia all ruled out the public screenings of the animation due to the passing reference with Disney having no immediate comment about the ban

The movie centers on a pair of teenage elf brothers--voiced by Chris Pratt and Tom Holland--on a quest to resurrect their dead father.

'Onward' has gained $2 million in North America on Thursday night in preview shows.
